Instagram Roundup: September 17 - October 2

Hi there!  Since I'm somewhat caught up on my school work and Bible study material, I thought I would take a break and do a post of some of my recent outfits and what we've been up to.

I just love wearing this dress and have so much fun styling it different ways.  A person can never have too many black dresses.

We finally got a hint of fall the other day.  I was super excited to fall-ify this romper I got from my neighborhood's buy sell page.  It was the perfect amount of fall.  Kept me warm in the morning but was cool enough to walk to Nathan's school.

The other day, I had to run to the Domain to make a return.  It was such a nice day outside, that I decided to take Buddy with me and make a study date out of it.  We sat outside with my PSL and my psychology book.  While I read, Buddy made sure to people watch for me.  I felt so much more productive getting out of the house, away from the tv, laptop and other household distractions.

I liked studying outside so much, that I decided to do it again the next day while I waited for J's car to get new tires.  I went to Redhorn Coffee House for a yummy cappuccino.  By that point I had already had three cups of coffee and I was a little wired for the rest of the day.  Having that much caffeine totally killed my productivity.  Whoops.

On Saturday, we decided to drive up to Arlington for the Retropalooza.  We were trying to decide if we were going to visit the Texas State Fair while we were up there.  I couldn't decide what to wear and then I remembered that we had this shirt we bought at the Classic Game Fest a few months ago.  It combined my love of games and my love of Texas.  It was a no brainer.  We ended up not going to the Fair once we were finished at Retropalooza.  The weather was on the bubble and Nathan wanted to get home to spend the night at Casa de Nana's.  Maybe next year.

Today Nathan started run club again.  I used his run club as a reason to start running again.  We ended up running just over half a mile at his school track and then I decided to go for a run around the neighborhood after I dropped him off at comic book club.  I didn't plan on running more than a mile but it felt so good to finally be running again after I sprained my ankle two months ago, that I kind of lost track of my distance.

This dress was another find from my neighborhood's buy sell page.  I'm kind of addicted to looking for deals on there.  I actually just bought a pair of KUT from the Kloth boyfriend jeans and a pair of Just Black jeans for $2 each.  🙈🙊🙈🙊🙈🙊  Whoops.  So get ready to see those in my upcoming posts.  Anyway, when I went to go pick up Nathan from school today, it was 86 degrees outside.  So I wore this dress as is but I think it'll be a great transitional piece once the temperatures eventually drop.
I have to say that this whole life as a stay-at-home mom/full-time student is exhausting!  I can't believe how fast my days go between school work and volunteer work.  Before I know it, I'm walking to pick up Nathan.  I guess my days fly because I enjoy what I'm doing.  If I manage to get all my class work done, I actually get to bed by 10:00.  Something I hadn't done the past two years.  It's hard to not overbook myself with volunteer work because I want to do EVERYTHING.  I love that I now have the time to give back to the community.  That was something I missed.  The time I spend helping is healing for my soul and helps me appreciate the simple things in life.  Is there anything you do that is heals your soul?  I'd love to hear about it!  For now, I have to go do an assignment for psych class.  Fun!
