Catch Up

So now that I've let the cat of the bag that I'm back in school, it's time to play catch-up on some of the outfits I've worn this week.

As I've mentioned before I usually throw on dresses on days when I really don't want to think about what to wear.  It's a personal challenging to see how put together I can get myself in 15 minutes because since starting school, I have been hitting snooze a lot more than I'd like to admit.  I never used to be a snooze button person but living with J has changed that.  He is the king of the snooze button.  Or was.  There's no button on Nathan to turn him off in an attempt to get a few extra minutes of sleep.  Ha.

White pants and I have a love hate relationship.  For my birthday, my work family gave me a $150 gift card to Anthropology.  Since it was the beginning of spring, I decided I was going to spend it on some white jeans. When I went to go try on some white jeans (I tried Paige) they were the most unflattering pair of jeans I had ever put on.  I ended up walking out with a pair of Paige Verdugo jeans in a dark wash instead.  I never was able to find a pair of white jeans that I liked.  That was until now.  A couple Friday's ago my friend Nicole and I decided to have a girl's night out at the newest shopping district, Domain Northside, which is now the home to Austin's new Nordstrom.  We planned a night of shopping, eating and more shopping.  Before meeting with her, I had read reviews of the Articles of Society jeans and how they are similar to AG jeans but at a much more affordable $64 price tag as opposed to AG jeans that cost more than $200.  Yikes.  The particular pair I was looking for was the 'Sarah' skinny jeans.  Since I've never owned AG jeans, I can't comment whether or not the Society jeans are like the AG jeans.  What I can say is that even after stuffing my face minutes before trying on jeans (I don't recommend doing that by the way!  HA!), the Society jeans felt amazing.  They accommodated my food belly and didn't dig into me like I thought they would.  They don't feel restricting at all.  And the best part about buying the jeans at Nordstrom?  They do free alterations for items purchased in-store or online. SOLD!  I can easily spend $20 to have a pair of jeans hemmed which can add up after a while.  After I bought the jeans, I went home and started scouring the Nords site for other Society jeans and came across these white ones.  And on sale to boot!  When I got home yesterday, the Nordstrom box was patiently waiting for me on my porch.  As with the other ones, these fit like a glove without feeling restricting and they didn't look hideous on me!  Confession time...these pants are actually crops but since I' challenged, they are the of hemmed pants on me. They fit everywhere because of their stretchy nature and they don't give me a weird lumpy looking butt like the white Paige jeans did back in April.  I have finally found my white jeans and I'm pretty certain these won't be the last ones I buy.  So if you are looking for a new pair of jeans I recommend checking out the Articles of Society line at Nordstrom.

Okay ya'll, now that I've written a novel, I'm exhausted.  Spent part of my night at the ACC computer lab after work, came home and went for a run.  And then...I made a quick trip to HEB to buy some groceries for Nathan's lunch and some salad stuff for me.  Oh and some Batiste Dry Shampoo which I have already sprayed in my hair so it'll absorb all the grossness while I sleep.  We'll see.  Hopefully it works.  If not, I may be running out to Sephora to buy more Living Proof Dry Shampoo.  I'll let ya'll know tomorrow.  Hopefully.  :)
