Black, gray and mullets

During the winter it is hard for me not to gravitate towards the dark side of my closet.  Especially when I'm getting dressed in the dark.  Especially when I can wear a black faux leather skirt.

Last year, this faux leather skirt was buried at the bottom of my dresser and I totally forgot about it.  I don't think I wore it once last year.   But since I have more closet space than dresser space these days I figured there was no reason for it to be buried at the bottom of my dresser any longer.  And as you can see, it's starting to make it's rotation back into my wardrobe again since I moved it into my closet. I forgot how much I love this skirt.  I wonder what else I have in my dresser.   If it wasn't for the fact that I can't ever get the thing to shut, I would think it once belonged to Mary Poppins because I could just keep digging through it and find more stuff.   I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

Not sure if you can tell from the photo above but if you look closely, there's a leopard pattern on the shoulders of my shirt which is also on the back of the shirt.  So I lovingly call this shirt my mullet shirt.

It's business up front and party in back because you're not expecting this shirt to have the sheer leopard print on the back of it.  Luckily nobody has ever tried to bring the actual mullet hair style back into style.  Thank goodness.  Ha.  I don't think anybody can handle that coming back into style.  Bell bottoms?  On some people yes.  On me?  Hell no.  Mullets?  Nobody.  Newp.  And that's all I have to say about that.

I'm a 35 year old working, running and shopping (not necessarily in that order) mom living in the burbs surrounding the beautiful city of Austin with my husband, our very active 5 year old and our rescue dog Buddy. This blog is my little space of the internet where I let my ADD run loose and I blog about...anything.
