Pleats and ruffled peplum

Hello there!  Kindergarten is kicking all our butts.  Nathan and I were in bed by 8:45 last night.  Not that I'm complaining.  Since I was so well rested and re-energized today, I thought I'd do a post.  Ha.  Nothing new.  Same old pleated Old Navy dress and my newest favorite jacket.  When we went to drop Nathan off at school this morning, it was 70 degrees outside.  Yay!  Fall is on its way.  I hope anyway.  And so my jacket was totally logical given it was cooler this morning.  I still felt silly walking Nathan to school in a jacket when there were still parents wearing tank tops and shorts at drop off.  But I don't care.  I embraced the cooler temperature this morning.  I even drove to work with the windows down.  Which explains why my hair looks like complete crap in my picture.  Plus I'm due for a haircut.  At least a trim anyway.

Dress:  Old Navy (OLD as dirt)
Purse: Kate Spade Bond Street Florence

I usually wear this dress with my trusty denim jacket but decided to try something different today.  I thought the olive color would help mute the brightness of the dress.  I also liked how the ruffles on the back of the jacket kind of give it a peplum effect.  And ya'll know how much I love me some peplum.  And I think this is the perfect way to transition this very summery dress into a fall outfit.  Come on fall!
