OOTD: Lilly and more recent purchases

Ya'll are in luck.  I didn't have to wear my Lilly shirt for a third day this week.  I figured I'd wear something else.  So what better thing to wear than my other Lilly piece that I bought on Sunday? Yep.  You guys know that I don't let clothes hang in my closet long before I rip the tags off and wear it.

Yes.  I'm aware that my kitchen is a mess.  I never said I was perfect or a clean freak.  Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I ordered a few things from GAP last week.  One of the pieces was a keeper.  The rest were complete flops.

First up, was this white eyelet dress.  Veronika originally blogged about it and I loved the way it looked on her.  So when I saw it go on sale last week, with an additional 40% I just had to give it a try.  I will say it doesn't look nearly as good on me as it does on her because she's taller and skinnier than me.  I think I remember her blogging at one point that she was 5'8"?  I could be totally making that up.  But I'm sure with some heels, it'll elongate me and not make me look so short and dumpy in it.  I ordered it in a size 4 but I think I could have gotten away with a size 2.

Now time for the flops.

I ordered this Daisy Belted Dress.  It looked horrible.  The material was too stiff.  And because of the stiff nature of the material, it poofed out funny when I belted it.  The sleeves were too long and the print just looked horrible on me.  Total lapse of judgement.  Ha.  So this will be going back.

Next up was this Floral Stripe Tunic.   I ordered it in an XS but it still looked pretty big on me.  It's been a while since I've ordered anything from GAP so I had no idea what size to get.  Looks like flowy tops, I should get an XXS if available.  So again, looks like this will be going back.

I have been searching high and low for a plain white shirt that I can just wear around on the weekends.  I was hoping this would be it but like the Floral Stripe Tunic, it felt a little too big.  On top of that, it's a little sheer.  Which is why it has been so hard for me to find a white shirt that I like.  So I guess the search continues.  Do ya'll have a non-see-through shirt ya'll recommend?  I'm getting desperate.  Ha.

So there you have it.  My recent purchase success and flops.  Between my GAP purchases and my Lilly purchases, I am shopped out.  I think I need to take a retail break.  Ha.  See ya'll tomorrow.  I'll probably be wearing my new GAP eyelet dress.
