OOTD: Bottom of the Hamper

I hope ya'll had a fun 4th of July weekend!  I've been a little under the weather this week.  We spent the weekend at Lake LBJ at my friend's in-law's lakehouse and I've been sick since we got back.

I've been friends with Mindy for nine years and she's been trying to get us to come out to the lake for the last four.  Something or another has always come up and we have never been able to come up but this year, this year, we finally made it.  Nathan being the cautious little guy he is, wasn't too interested in getting in the water.

His idea of staying cool was sucking down popsicles.

And hanging out with Roxie on the dock.

Of course, as soon as we packed up everything and were ready to go home, he came up to me and asked, "Um, did you bring my float?" "Yes. I brought your float." So we hung out a little longer and got in the water after all and then afterwards he even wanted to go for a boat ride.  I guess he just needed some time to warm up to the place.  I bet next year he'll jump right in the water as soon as we park.

As for today's outfit...it's been something that I've been wanting to wear ever since I bought this skirt but this shirt has been sitting at the bottom of my laundry hamper for months.  I just kept forgetting to grab it when I did my striped laundry.  Yes.  I do my black and white stripes together with those fun little Bounce Color Catcher sheets.  I have a stripe problem.

Stripe Shirt: Old Navy, Skirt: Express, Shoes: Ivanka Trump

Hopefully it won't take months for me to wear it again.

I'm a 33 year old working, running and shopping (not necessarily in that order) mom living in the burbs surrounding the beautiful city of Austin with my husband, our very active 5 year old and our rescue dog Buddy. This blog is my little space of the internet where I let my ADD run loose and I blog about...anything.
