OOTD: Dog days of Spring

How's everybody adjusting to Daylight Savings?  Thank goodness Nathan is on Spring Break this week because there was no way we would have been able to get him to bed last night.  So since I didn't have to wrangle him out of bed and herd him out the door to school this morning, I figured I needed a different challenge to start my week.  It's been four years since we said goodbye to our kitty, Toby.  We didn't plan on getting a new pet for a while but some circumstances came up and we found ourselves adopting the farm dog from my office.

Meet Buddy!

The vet said he's about 4 years old and weighs in at 58 pounds.  He's definitely a distinct looking dog and the vet had no idea what breed he was.  Despite being a big guy, he's really gentle and loves people.  I'm so excited to have a new fuzzy in our house.  It's going to be cute to watch Nathan and Buddy grow up together.

Since I had to take Buddy to the vet, I figured it was best to wear something that would cover me up in case he dragged me across the parking lot in an attempt to escape from having to go to the vet.  Poor Nathan totally sympathized for Buddy.  He told us last night that he didn't want Buddy to have to go to the vet and get shots.  I know little dude.  I know.  Hopefully we won't have to go back for another visit until next year.
