OOTD: Falling head over heels

This was yesterday's outfit that I didn't get a chance to post.  It was kind of something I just threw on.  Ideally, I would have liked to have a fuller, poofier skirt to go with the peplum top but don't have one.  Yet.
Top: Anthropologie, Dress as a skirt: Old Navy, Shoes: DIY

I DIYed these shoes just in time because it looks like I'll be wearing flats for a while.  Last night we took Nathan to the big playground.  I love that playground as much as he does but while trying to chase him through the mini city, I didn't see a curb and ran right off of it and rolled my ankle.  While my ankle wasn't feeling too bad this morning I  figured I'd play it safe and wear the flats again.  Good thing I already had an outfit in mind, inspired by one of my favorite bloggers.

Shirt, Skirt, Flats: DIY (similar here if you wanna feel like a bad ass or if you're not into DIYing)

I've never been a huge fan of flats because I always felt they made me look shorter and pudgier.  However,  these are a little pointy and elongates my leg.  Yes.  I watch What Not to Wear a little more than I'd like to admit.  As much as I love these flats, I already can't wait to get back into my beloved heels.  Any heel will do.
