Vendor Review: Modern Grace Designs

I didn't take a picture of my outfit today because my DSLR battery died.  So I figured I would do a vendor review today.

I've been lusting for this JCrew Classic pave link bracelet but I think that all the bling would be a little much for me and I didn't want to the pay the $118 price tag.  Tara of Mix and Match Fashion wore this bracelet with a few of her outfits and I was ecstatic when I realized it was a reasonable price.  Sadly I they were sold out.  Being desperate, I checked Ebay but found nothing.  Where else is a desperate shopaholic to look?  Then AHA!  ETSY!  My first search on Etsy came back a success and I found Modern Grace Designs.  Even better is that the shop offered a pave link bracelet in silver which was perfect because I don't wear gold very much.  It was $20 plus $3 for shipping.  I didn't wait five minutes before I put it in my cart.  By the end of Friday, Paypal sent me an e-mail to inform me that it had shipped and gave me tracking info.  I didn't think about it until I got home today and found it in my mailbox.  It came from York, Nebraska to Austin, Texas in three days.  Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Now onto the good stuff.  When I unwrapped the bracelet it measured 9 inches.  It looked huge on my wrist.

So I had to perform a little surgery on it and remove two links.

Presto shrinko!  Much better.  Unlike some of the look a likes from sites like Forever 21, this one is metal and not plastic.  Which I found out when I had to remove the links.  It took some prying to get the links to open and remove.  Surprisingly for such a chunky piece it is really lightweight.

I really like it and it looks much better in person than in the picture.  After wearing it for a few hours I do wish that the rhinestones were on both sides of the links because they tend to flip over exposing the metal side.

I had planned on wearing it on top of my watch like in the first picture but the two together just make my short, t-rex arms look even shorter than they really are.  So I think I'll wear it with some thinner bracelets on my right arm.

The shop doesn't seem to have any in stock at the moment (no surprise there!) but I highly recommend that you check back or even send her an e-mail.  It couldn't hurt right?

Here's the link to the Etsy shop.

Until next time, shop on!
