OOTD: The mom do

When I was pregnant with Nathan I swore up and down that I would not go chop off all my hair into the dreaded mom do.  Two years later I finally decided it was time for a change and got my hair cut today!  What do you think?  Be HONEST people!  I may have a different do but rest assured I am still my spunky self.

Blazer: Kohl's, Shirt: Old Navy (similar here), Skirt: JCrew (similar here), Shoes: Ivanka Trump

I haven't had short hair since 2009.  I'm not hating it but it'll definitely take some getting used to again.    I was kind of nervous to do a shorter do with the bangs since I have a bit of a round face but I'm feeling very Rose Byrne.  I've had this do for less than a day and I'm already kind of missing my long hair.

Anyway, I loved the way that Wendy  styled this flare skirt.  So I thought I'd take a stab at it.  As much as I like this skirt, I think I need to try and dye it.  When I ordered it last year, the color was described as some sort of gray but when I got it, the color looked like it used to be black, got washed one too many times and faded.  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I know.  Isn't that what gray is?   But I think if it were dark black, the outfit would look a little crisper.  Another project to add to my growing to-do list.  Okay.  Off I go.  Dallas is on ya'll.  Hee haw!

  1. This is SO not a mom 'do. You look great! I love your new haircut :)

    1. Thanks Annette! It's definitely growing on me and looked better after I styled it this morning and looks more like what I had in mind.
