OOTD: Case of the Tuesdays

The case of Monday's has spilled over into today.  Since I had a case of the Monday's yesterday, I didn't write a post even though I'll have to say that I had an awesome outfit thanks to a Banana Republic gift card from my lovely friend Mindy.

Skirt: Ann Taylor Factory Store, Skirt, Shoes: Enzo Angiolini (similar here or here)

That sucker didn't even last 24 hours.  After my birthday dinner last week, we went and did a little shopping and I immediately gravitated towards the bright colors of this skirt against the dark olive green.  For $28 there was no way I was leaving the store without it.  I am on a J imposed shopping freeze for a little while as we recover from buying a new mattress set and having to replace our fence all in a single week,  so the gift card allowed me to get my shopping fix for the week.

Dress: LOFT, Necklace, Shoes: Enzo Angiolini

This dress has got to be one of my all time favorites.  I can wear it plain and simple or I can wear just about any color accessory with it and make it look totally different than the last time I wore it.  Today I decided to wear this yellow statement necklace that I've been seeing everywhere on the blogosphere this year.  The JCrew version costs $150 or the JCrew Factory version costs $69.50.  Huh?  both sites  sell it.  Odd. but thanks to some tips from other bloggers I follow, I was able to track this necklace down on Ebay for $15.  Then it was just trying to decide on what color to get.  It comes in an assortment of colors: white, turquoise, pink, green but I decided to get the yellow for spring and summer.  I guess I could have bought all the colors for the same price as the JCrew one but I'm quickly running out of space in my jewelry box.  I will say that it's a little heavier than most necklaces I usually wear and so I wasn't able to wear it for very long without having to take it off for a few minutes (or an hour).    Kind of defeats the purpose of such a fun necklace if you ask me.  Maybe wearing this necklace can count as a strength workout.  A girl can wish right?  That and that ice cream contained no calories and didn't go straight to my arse.  Le sigh.  I guess I better keep wishin'.
