OOTD: Turn out the lights and I'll glow

Ice Ice Baby.  Lucky for you, you can't hear me singing that right now.
Sweater, Pants, Purse, Sandals: Steve Madden (from Sam's! but similar here and here)

I had planned on wearing something else today but due some dumbness on my part, I walked around in my heels a little too long last Wednesday and got some crazy blisters on my feet.  So bad that it hurts to walk 5 days later.  Fun times!  So flats it is.  I think that if I took this picture in complete darkness I would be a floating torso because this sweater is bright.  Nathan and I ventured out to LOFT on Saturday because they had 30% off storewide, plus if you spent $50, you got $50 in LOFT cash to use in June.  I had originally only planned on buying some new shorts but then I saw another mom come out of the dressing room in this sweater and immediately grabbed one.  Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the setup at LOFT?  The little waiting area by the fitting rooms is stocked with children's books and I could not peel Nathan away from those chairs even after I had made my purchases.  I wish more retailers put that much thought into their dressing area.

Anyway, I'm loving all the neon colors this summer but hopefully I won't look back at these pictures in 10 years and wonder what in the world I was thinking.  Now that I think about it...the neon does remind me of one of my favorite outfits in 5th grade.  It was a sleeveless black top embellished with neon pink, green and orange bows.  I would twirl around the skating rink in the matching bright, neon pink skirt that had those spandex shorts underneath.  Oh memories.   Aren't they great?
