Chambray Shirt: Old Navy (similar here), Skirt, Flats: Target (similar here), Belt: Target (similar here)
I had no idea what I was going to wear this morning other than the chambray top. I had originally planned on wearing it with some olive green, cargo capri looking pants (that were as long as regular pants BTW) but the outfit looked baggy and a bit sloppy. So then this outfit popped into my head and I think it may be one of my go to summer outfits this year.
Just a quick note though. As much as I love this outfit, I do not love this particular skirt. It is a Mossimo piece from Target but it does not seem to be holding up as well as other Mossimo items that I've purchased in the past. After one wash the material started to pill. I also hate the fold over waist. Since I usually tuck in shirts with this skirt the fold over part is just extra fabric that I have to figure out what to do with. Today I decided it to just fold it under the skirt. So I shall be hunting down a replacement in the near future.
What are your weekend plans? Is shopping involved? I've got $50 to Ann Taylor Loft that has been burning a hole in my wallet. Hmmmm...maybe that's why there's never any money in there. Plus once Nathan gets a hold of my wallet, there ain't no getting it back from him. I knew babies required a lot of money but dang...could he wait until he's at least a teenager to try and sneak off with my moola? While at Ann Taylor Loft, I'm on a mission to either find shorts or more casual jeans to wear on the weekends. Hope ya'll have a fantabulous weekend! Toodles!

I don't know why you don't love this skirt, it looks beautiful on you.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a sweet smile too.
Thanks! I love maxi skirts but I'm just hating how that one didn't hold up after washing it. I've already got a replacement from Old Navy and love it. Hee hee.
DeleteI love the look because it's casual and easy but still updated w/ the maxi.
ReplyDeleteI saw the most gorgeous mustard color pleated maxi by BCBG - It wasn't black but it was gorg....
