OOTD: Not rain, nor snow, nor sleet

The last couple of days have been soggy and wet here in Austin.  We are very thankful for the rain after such a dry summer.  But despite of the wet weather and much colder temperatures, I wore a dress to work today.

Dress:  Banana Republic, Belt:  Target, Boots:  Steve Madden Intyce

Sorry for the craptastic picture ya'll.  When I took the picture I wasn't in the best state of mind.  I actually had to leave work early today because I was just sick.  I'll spare you all the details but I will say that I've taken some medicine and feel human again right now.

In other news...

After reading and seeing Verona's progress on Latisse I had been contemplating on trying the stuff out for the last couple months.  I think that the only thing holding me back was the price.  At a whopping $107 it's definitely a pricey, cosmetic medication that's obviously not a necessity.  Verona was also the only person that I "knew" that had used the product.  UNTIL...a few weeks ago when I went to my friend's house for a Scentsy party and saw another Asian who's lashes literally looked like the lashes on a mascara commercial.  That was all I needed to see.  I have very whimpy looking eyelashes and they look even whimpier these days because some of them got yanked out by my oh so lovely eyelash curler.  Oh how I wish Shu Umura was still sold in the U.S.  Anyhoo...I had the prescription called in and I went and picked it up today.

Hopefully I'll have as full and longer lashes as Verona and the girl I saw at the Scentsy party.  Can't wait to use it tonight.  Welps, J just got home with Nathan and he fell asleep on the car ride home.  Another no nap day at nana's.  I guess I better go get some rest while I can since I'm still not feeling totally 100% still.  Have a great weekend!
