I'm a little late to post this but I hope everybody had a Merry Christmas with those that are dear to them. It's been a busy couple of days filled with family, food and lots of fun. So with that being said, I'm breaking this recap into two. Yes I'm that awesome.
Nathan loved having both sets of grandparents to play with. This year we were very excited to see how he would react to all the Christmas hustle and bustle. As soon as he saw the Christmas tree go up at my mother-in-law's house , he hustled on over there to help decorate the tree. His idea of an ornament is a ball because he threw his balls at the tree every chance he got. As my mother-in-law likes to say, "He's just adding some character to the tree." We were more giddy to see how he would handle all the presents. He didn't quite know what to do with the presents and took a little bit of encouraging to get him to tear into the presents.

Once a few of the presents were opened, I think he was going through some sensory overload because it was a tad bit hard to keep the little guy focused. It's like we didn't exist once he opened one toy and we'd attempt to try and get him to open another present. We managed to go through about half his presents before we finally decided that maybe we'll keep some presents under the tree and dole those out over the next couple of days. Maybe minus the tree because he thinks that throwing his bouncy balls into the Christmas tree. I think he thinks that it's an ornament and belongs in the tree. Who knows. Ha.
But the highlight of the whole holiday was seeing him spending time with the grandparents. He gets to see my in-laws everyday and is always excited to see them but it's not very often that he gets to see my parents.
I love the pictures of your parents playing with Nathan!
