OOTD: Back in the black

Black is so easy to wear and accessorize. That probably explains why my closet is full of black pieces. I'm all about easy outfits these days. Plus, it was kind of hard for me to get super funky or creative when I have such busy shoes.

Dress: Tarjet
Belt: Came with skirt from Kohl's
Shoes: Aldo 'Ebbert' Pumps
Kiddo: A little bit of me. A little bit of J and VOILA!

When I have such a busy item in an outfit, I usually let the funkiness of the one item be the focus of the outfit. And these shoes are funky, for me anyway, and surprisingly comfy. I originally fell in love with the Kate Spade Cybil open toe pump but couldn't justify spending $298 on a pair of shoes. Bag...yes. Shoes...not so much. So when I saw these shoes, on sale no less, on the Aldo website I quickly put them in my shopping cart and proceeded to check out. They arrived in about a week and I am very pleased in the quality and comfort of these shoes considering they were only $34. I always overlook Aldo when I'm in the market for shoes but now I'll definitely have to keep them in mind for future shoe purchases. One of these days I'll have to take a picture with better lighting and better angle of the shoes. I let J take this picture because he was kind of sad when I said I was going to change into some jeans to go grab a burger because he seemed to really like this particular outfit. So did I but I sure didn't feel like going to Mighty Fine in this outfit. So I suggested that he could take this picture for Le Blog. So there you have it folks. J's debut photo for this blog. No professional photographer husband for this blog. No ma'am. Just J. And Nathan.
