They say that space makes the heart grow fonder

but the longer I look at this empty wall,

I get a little more agitated to point that if it weren't a load bearing wall, I'd just take a sledge hammer to it just so I wouldn't have to look at it. We've lived in this house for 6 years and we haven't figure out what in the world to do with all these empty walls. I want some cohesiveness in the decor so I second guess all the options I've got going through my head. It's a curse I tell ya.

At one point I had found two 40"x40" canvas paintings that fit the wall very nicely but the colors clashed with our current decor. So back to Overstock they went. I think, if I
beg
BADGER the hubs enough, I can get him to paint something. He's quite the artiste but his perfectionist ways will drive him mad. The picture that is currently up there is something that Jason brought into our relationship eons ago and we've just kept it because as I've already mentioned we haven't found anything else to put in that space. Not sure where this rant about my wall came from but just had to get it out there and see if anybody out there has any other suggestions for what to do on this wall.

On another decor related topic, Nathan is quite the interior decorator. He's already helped us with our fallscape for the dining room table. When he goes outside with Poppy or D-A-D-D-Y, (ONE more day folks until he's home! YAY!) Nathan will go and pick up bunches of leaves and hand them to the adult he is with. Jason is such a sentimental guy that he will collect them and bring them home. So now they live inside this vase.

Don't they look purdy? He has a good eye for these things. He gets it from his nana. He sure as hell doesn't get it from me. We have a similar vase with rocks that Nathan picks up while we're out and about. He's good at picking out rocks as well. Except for the one that was covered in tar. That he decided looked yummy and tried to eat. Good thing we have poison control on speed dial.

It's much easier dressing myself than trying to figure out how to dress my house. Speaking of dressing myself, here's the outfit of the day. My boss was back in the office after two days out of town. So I usually try and dress a little nicer when he's around because I never know who he's scheduled to meet on any given day.

Purse: Kate Spade Head in the Sand Quinn
Shoes: Mossimo Pearce Pumps from Target

My office has the most casual dress code. I don't know if I'd even call it a dress code. I think just as long as you come dressed they won't complain. Although, I have heard some horror stories of an ex-employee who came to work in cut off daisy dukes BEFORE Jessica Simpson's role in The Dukes of Hazard. Not that THAT movie makes it excusable. Especially not for work. Okay stepping off my wardrobe soapbox now.

Hi!

I'm a 35 year old working, running and shopping (not necessarily in that order) mom living in the burbs surrounding the beautiful city of Austin with my husband, our very active 5 year old and our rescue dog Buddy. This blog is my little space of the internet where I let my ADD run loose and I blog about...anything.
