My little bug has a bug

This week started off like any other week. We got barely enough sleep and went off to work but at about 4, Jason IMed me that his mom thought Nathan had a fever. I left work and didn't go home. I went straight to my mother-in-laws house. Sure enough, he had a very low grade fever. 99.9 to be exact. I love highlighting all of Nathan's first but this was definitely one first I was not very excited about. He was tired and lethargic but did perk up when he saw me and Jason walk into his playroom at Nana nana's house. We gave him some Tylenol and lots of cuddles and then went home. When we got home, he went back to his playing and was his normal self for the rest of the night. I'm sure the Tylenol had a lot to do with it.
Yesterday he was back to his old self again. So imagine my surprise when I get a phone call from Jason after lunch this afternoon that Nathan has a fever again. This morning before I left I had noticed he had a cough but there was no fever so I thought nothing of it. By the time Jason had called me today, the cough had turned into congestion. His mom set up the humidifier, rubbed on some Vaporub and gave him another dose of Tylenol.
It's hard to concentrate when you know your child is sick. So the afternoon felt like it would never end. I just couldn't wait to get home and cuddle with my little man. If only cuddles and hugs could make him feel better.

As I sit here and worry if this fever will get worse I figure now might be a good time to post Nathan's 10 month pictures because they crack me up.

Watching the BCS Championship with daddy.

Somebody got bored and wanted to fly like a duck.

I am very much looking forward to him being his spunky old self again. Now we sit and wait.

I'm a 35 year old working, running and shopping (not necessarily in that order) mom living in the burbs surrounding the beautiful city of Austin with my husband, our very active 5 year old and our rescue dog Buddy. This blog is my little space of the internet where I let my ADD run loose and I blog about...anything.
