One week down

We welcomed our first child on March 8, 2010 at 11:58 a.m. He was 6 lbs 6 oz and measured 19.5 inches in length. Doctors said other than some jaundice, he was a healthy little boy. We could not be happier or more in love with him. We've been very lucky and he has been a very laid back baby. He takes after me and likes to sleep. I guess he got used to my 12 hours snoozefests on the weekends while he was in the womb. Usually he doesn't wake up on his own to eat and so we end up having to wake him up to make sure he eats every three hours. In our first week, I have already encourtered some geyser when changing him, some spit up and during his 3 am changing this morning, he surprised me with rocket poop. I always knew about the possibilities of geysers with boys but I nobody ever told me about rocket poop. I'm surprised I didn't wake J up with my laughter on the other side of the house. I guess J's just a little more tired than me. But I guess that's to be expected since he just went back to work yesterday. So far, being at home by myself with N hasn't been too bad. Hopefully I won't regret typing that out in a few days.

I'd post pictures of the little guy but for some reason adding a picture doesn't seem to be working. So don't worry, I'll post pics soon. Until then, off to take a nap since Mr. N is snoozing right now. Looking at him is making me tired.
