I've been gone for a while...

So you may have noticed that I haven't been posting as much lately. Which I apologize for but it's kind of hard to want to sit up straight, let alone type when I have the constant urge to go and visit the porcelain god every five seconds. Why do I feel the need to make so many vists? Well, we found out on July 6th, that we will be expecting our first kiddo. I was hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones who would get to miss out on the joys of queasiness and morning sickness but sadly I am not. Then on top of feeling like complete crud all day long, I have no energy to do anything once I get home from work. When I get home I go straight to bed to cuddle with Toby. So I am finally in my second trimester and feeling normal again. THANK GOODNESS! But honestly, I think I was actually pretty lucky in that I only had the morning sickness and queasiness for a total of about two weeks off and on. At least I have my energy back though. Now I can function like normal human being again instead of a hibernating bear.

Now that the news is out, we are very excited. Our parents are excited. I even think the cat knows something is up and I think he's excited. He's been a huge cuddle bug ever since we found out. Which is fine with me since I've heard horror stories about animals turning into holy terrors when their owners are expecting.

So now our days are consumed with nursery ideas, baby names and of course spending some quality time together for our last few months as a twosome. It's great but I'm sure it won't compare to all the fun and joy we'll have with our mini-us. We can't wait!

I'm a 35 year old working, running and shopping (not necessarily in that order) mom living in the burbs surrounding the beautiful city of Austin with my husband, our very active 5 year old and our rescue dog Buddy. This blog is my little space of the internet where I let my ADD run loose and I blog about...anything.
